Built for the way you actually use a screenshot
Keep a reference in view, mark it up, find it again a week later — all without leaving the desktop.
Snip and pin
⌥⇧S freezes the screen and hands you a selection overlay. Drag a region, or click the highlighted window under your pointer, and it becomes a floating pin — scroll to zoom, ⌘ and scroll to fade.
Annotate anything
Space reveals a pin’s toolbar: rectangle, ellipse, line, arrow, pen, marker, mosaic, and text, in six colors. Shapes stay editable after you draw them.
Searchable history
Search matches the text recognized inside your captures. Recognition runs on-device with Apple’s Vision framework, across Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and English.
Select the text in a picture
Text Selection turns any capture into selectable, copyable text with Live Text — on a pin or in History. No retyping what is already on your screen.
Syncs through your iCloud
History and annotations sync through the private database of your own iCloud account, so the same captures are waiting on your other Mac. Without iCloud, Shotlet stays local and works the same.
No accounts, no analytics
No telemetry, no ads, no third-party SDKs, no server to talk to. Shotlet links only Apple frameworks and runs in the App Sandbox.
